I grew up in Bastrop, LA, in a dental family and realized in college that I wanted to "follow in dad's footsteps." After graduating from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2002, I got married to Jennifer, and we moved to Baton Rouge to take a job with a larger dental practice. The older dentists there were great mentors, impressing on me the importance of prevention in dentistry.
That philosophy guides me today in my treatment:
It is much easier to prevent problems or take care of a small tooth problem before it hurts or breaks.
Jennifer and I moved our family to West Monroe in 2005. Our three children attend Claiborne Elementary School and West Ridge Middle School. We are both involved in our church, teaching kids and youth Sunday school classes.
Our dental practice is a place where we treat the whole family. I really enjoy treating children, and I believe that being a dad has made me a better dentist. If you are looking for a dentist, we would love for you to visit our practice.
Matthew Turpin, DDS
We take lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
